This is the privacy policy of the Japan Heritage "Kirin Town" Promotion Council (hereinafter called "this site").
We recognize the importance of the personal information provided by our visitors and aim to handle it carefully.

  This site specifies its handling of personal information to fall under the scope of responding to inquiries.

• 3.Restrictions on Use of Personal Information

  This site will not handle personal information beyond the scope necessary for achieving its purpose without the prior consent of the individual. However, this does not apply in the following cases:

  1. As otherwise provided by laws and regulations.
  2. Cases in which it is necessary for the protection of human life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual.
  3. Cases in which it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the healthy development of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual.
  4. Cases in which there is a need to cooperate with a government agency, local public entity, or a person entrusted by them performing affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and when there is a possibility that obtaining the individual’s consent would interfere with the performance of said affairs.

• 4.Proper Acquisition of Personal Information

  This site properly acquires personal information and does not acquire it by false or other unjust means.

• 5.Notification of Purpose of Use When Acquiring Personal Information

  This site announces the purpose of use for personal information before acquiring it. However, this does not apply in the following cases:

  1. Cases in which notifying or announcing the purpose of use to the individual may harm the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of that individual or a third party.
  2. Cases in which there is a possibility that the rights or legitimate interests of this site may be harmed by notifying or disclosing the purpose of use to the individual.
  3. Cases in which there is a need to cooperate with a government agency or local public entity performing affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and when there is a possibility that notifying or disclosing the purpose of use to the individual would interfere with the performance of said affairs.
  4. Cases in which it is deemed that the purpose of use is found to be clear in light of the circumstances of the acquisition.

• 6.Changes to the Purpose of Use of Personal Information

  In the case of changes to the purpose of use of personal information, this site will not do so beyond the scope of what is reasonably deemed to have considerable relevance to said purpose before the change. We will either announce or notify individuals concerning such change.

• 7.Restrictions on Third Party Provisions

  This site does not provide personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the individual, except in the following cases:

  1. As otherwise provided by laws and regulations.
  2. Cases in which it is necessary for the protection of human life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual.
  3. Cases in which it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the healthy development of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual.
  4. Cases in which there is a need to cooperate with a government agency, local public entity, or a person entrusted by them performing affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and when there is a possibility that obtaining the individual’s consent would interfere with the performance of said affairs.
  5. Cases in which the following items have been noted or announced in advance:
     (a)The purpose of use includes provision to third parties.
     (b)Categories of data provided to third parties.
     (c)Means or methods of providing to third parties.
     (d)Provision of personal information to a third party has been discontinued at the request of the individual.However, the following cases do not fall under the third parties specified above.
     1. Cases in which this site entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use.
     2. Cases in which personal information is used jointly with a specific person, and to that effect the categories of the jointly used personal information, the scope of the user, and the purpose of use of the user or the name or title of the person responsible for the management of applicable personal information, have been reported in advance to the individual, or left in a state where it is readily accessible to the individual.

• 8.Announcement of Items Related to Personal Information

  This site will put the following items related to personal information in a state where readily accessible to the individual, and will respond without delay at the request of the individual.
  Purpose of use of personal information (Except for those that are not obligated under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information. If we decide that a response will not be sent, we will notify the individual to that effect without delay.)

• 9.Disclosure of Personal Information

  This site will disclose personal information to the individual without delay when requested to do so. However, if the disclosure falls under any of the following cases, we may not disclose all or part of it, and if we decide not to disclose it, we will notify the individual to that effect without delay.

  1. Cases in which there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the individual or a third party.
  2. Cases in which there is a possibility that it will significantly hinder the proper execution of the business of this site.
  3. Cases in which it violates other laws and regulations.In addition, in principle, information other than personal information such as access logs will not be disclosed.
